Licensed since 2005, he previously practiced in a small firm in North Georgia specializing in real estate and construction litigation. Mr. Edge practices in the firm’s Business and Banking group and specializes in banking and commercial litigation. His clients range from individual and sole proprietorships to sophisticated farmers and large multinational corporations, and he handles the full spectrum of business disputes including breach of contract, fraud, collections, derivative actions, minority shareholder concerns, non-compete, employee theft, business dissolution, and other business matters.
Mr. Edge regularly represents parties in real estate disputes, including quiet title, partitioning, heir’s property, boundary line disputes, trespass, nuisance and construction litigation, as well as counselling parties in Probate Court on will contests, year’s support, estate, trust, and guardianship/conservatorship disputes. He regularly serves as a court-appointed Special Master on quiet title matters in Dougherty County and has represented parties in jury and non-jury trials and arbitrations, as well as successfully arguing appellate cases before both the Georgia Supreme Court and Court of Appeals.
Mr. Edge is a native of Cedartown, Georgia. When not lawyering, he enjoys spending time with his wife J.J. and his two children, J.Harris and Avie. He has been selected as a speaker on a number of issues relating to business and real estate litigation, as well as a past instructor on the Law Merit Badge for the Boy Scouts.
